March is Women’s History Month.  In commemoration of this event Allaire’s Management Consulting Firm (AMCF) will feature some of the many great contributions made by women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)  throughout history .

You are probably wondering when, how and why we Celebrate Women’s History Month, Let me answer those questions for you.

Women’s History Month had its origins as a national celebration in 1981 when Congress passed Public Law  97-28 which authorized and requested the President to proclaim the week beginning March 7, 1982 as “Women’s History Week.”   Between 1987 and 1994, Congress passed additional resolutions to proclaim March of each year as “Women’s History Month.”  Then, in 1995, the President issued a series of annual proclamations designating the month of March as “Women’s History Month.”

Why do we celebrate Women’s History Month? We celebrate Women’s History Month to remind ourselves of the accomplishments of women throughout the years to our culture and society. From science to politics, it is a chance to reflect on the trailblazing women who lead the way for change.

AMCF salutes the countless women, who performed a vital role and made an impact in their communities, their nation, and the world.  For women throughout history and today, hats off to all of you!!!
